Tuesday I had my other ACL reconstructed. So far it has been a lot easier.

Orientation Flight 3/27/2010

Conner had his first orientation flight with the Md Civil Air Patrol. They left Easton Airport headed to Crisfield. When they reach altitude, Conner will take over the controls, learning a series of maneuvers. After landing in Crisfield Conner will sit back and relax as another cadet takes control on the way home.

Civil Air Patrol

Conner joined the Md Civil Air Patrol in January. First test was this past Wednesday, he passed. Orientation flight tomorrow morning depending on the weather and studying for next leadership and aerospace test! Good thing he likes planes!!

The life of the knees

I have been busy healing. I am 12 days post op and happy that I am getting out and about. I am working part time and trying my best to rest in between. The arthroscopy left only small scars. Still a little swollen but working on it. I started physical therapy yesterday and will work hard to get the left knee fixed in a couple of months.

Here are some pictures from my trip to the desert. It was 75 degress and just beautiful. It is hard to believe that there is snow on the mountains in the background. Cliff had fun running around with a couple of hairy friends. We have had enough rain that more flowers are expected to bloom.

So Cathy, thanks for your patience in guiding me to utilize this blog site. the pictures have been wonderful and a grand way to experience what's happening in your life. The snowfall for one! Connor's successful "Big Game Hunt"! Such fun. Our spring bulbs are peeking out so we're hopeful for spring! plus the birds are singing their spring songs! Another good sign. We're off to Phoenix Wednesday --may it be sunny! and warm.

Valentine Weekend Snowstorm in Wilmington

Even the beach areas are getting some snow this year! It started on Friday night and by the time it was over on Saturday morning we had about 4-6 of snow.

2/10/2010 Snow Days

Ok, so we're officially getting dumped on here in Easton. Can't wait to see how many homes flood when all of this melts...if it ever does! Supposedly we're in for more snow this Sat and possibly mid week next week. No school until Tuesday. Thankfully we haven't lost power or the Directv...it could get REAL ugly at that point. The boys are out riding around while Claire and I hang out in the toasty warm house.
